My Favourite Things about Autumn
Hello!
The leaves have started to fall off the trees, it is getting dark earlier and everyone has started wearing their thick wolly jumpers. That's right- Autumn is here! Today I thought that I would post about some of my favourite things about Autumn.
1. The colours
Autumn is full of loads of beautiful colours. I love all the different shades of red and orange on the leaves. Everything looks so pretty in Autumn.
2. Crunchy leaves beneath your feet
There is nothing better than walking along the ground with layers of crunchy auburn leaves beneath your feet. That 'crunch' of the leaves beneath your feet as you walk always reminds me of Autumn.
3. Warm comforting food
One of my favourite things about Autumn is eating a warm, comforting meal in the evening. A butternut squash risotto, a hot bowl of soup, a chicken curry or simply a bowl of pasta. Autumn is the perfect time to whip up all of your favourite comforting recipes.
4. Steamy hot drinks
Who doesn't love curling up on the sofa with a steaming mug of hot chocolate? Tea has always been my favourite hot drink but you could try coffee, hot chocolate, hot squash or perhaps something more exotic like a spiced gingerbread latte. If you prefer plainer drinks, try warming up some milk and squeezing in some runny honey for a soothing milky drink.
5. Crisp, cool mornings
I love those crisp, cool mornings when the grass is frosty but the sun is shining. Everything feels so fresh. These mornings are also typical of winter but I had to add them in as one of my favourite things about Autumn.
6. Orange hues at sunrise and sunset
Some of the most beautiful photographs of sunrises and sunsets are taken at Autumn. The orange hues make everything look so pretty.
7. Candles or curling up in front of the fire
Don't you love sitting in front of the fire on a cold autumn night or lighting your favourite candles? Everything just feels so cosy and warm with a roaring fire or some scented candles.
So, those are my favourite things about Autumn. I'd love to hear yours!
Bye!
