Teenage Girl Gift Guide

Hello!
Today I thought that I would write a gift guide. This is basically ideas of what to give a teenage girl for their birthday or for Christmas. The typical gift to give a teenage girl is a lush bath bomb. Bath bombs are great but I think that sometimes, people need to be a bit more inventive! Recently I have received some great presents so I thought that I would share them under categories to give you some ideas. Hopefully this gift guide will give you a few more ideas.

If they have interests in maths, puzzles, logic...
  1. An addictaball. This is a football sized plastic sphere with a maze inside made of coloured plastic. The aim is to guide a little ball through the maze and see how far you can get without falling off. I must say, when I first got this gift I became a bit addicted to it! It is perfect for filling your time if you are bored! You can also use the addictaball to have a mini tournament at events or family gatherings. Follow this link to buy it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Addictaball-Large-Maze-Puzzle-Game/dp/B0031J8Q4E
  2. A puzzle mat. This is a slightly more expensive present but one I use very often. It is a mat to do a puzzle on but it folds away so you can store the puzzle if you haven't finished it and need to tidy it away for a bit. It is the perfect size for sliding under a sofa! It also means that you can move the puzzle easily to a different room. I would recommend this present for anyone who loves to do jigsaw puzzles. There are a few different types but here is a link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Puzzle-Mates-Portapuzzle Accessory/dp/B000EWC11U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462118689&sr=8-1&keywords=top+puzzle+mat
If they have interests in writing or colouring...
  1. Letters to my future self. This is a book which acts as a paper time capsule. Inside, there are envelopes with paper inside so you can write letters to your future self. I thought that this book was a really good idea for a present and I have really enjoyed writing letters to myself. I can't wait to read them in the future! 2. An adult colouring book. These are becoming really popular and are great for teenagers doing exams as they can act as a stress relieving activity. They are quite cheap so if you wanted a more special present, you could buy a nice set of felt tips to go with it. There is a huge range of products like this on the market but here is a link to the book that I have: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Enchanted-Forest-Inky-Quest-Colouring/dp/1780674872/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1462119396&sr=8-4&keywords=adult+colouring+book
If they have interests in cooking/baking...
  1. Cooking kits. You can find kits like these in supermarkets which are really cheap and they are really good for people who like cooking or baking. I recently received a macaroon kit and I haven't used it yet but I can't wait to try it out. There is a variety of kits on the market varying from cheap supermarket ones to more expensive ones from Lakeland. I have been given a duo icing kit and also a chocolate moulding kit from Lakeland. Although these kits are more expensive, I really enjoyed using both of them. The duo icing kit allows you to pipe two colours of icing at the same time and the chocolate moulding kit helps you to set chocolate in flower or leaf shapes. Here are some links to of the kits I have received: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/sainsburys-raspberry-macaroon-kit-280g   http://www.lakeland.co.uk/16656/Lakeland-Duo-Colour-Icing-Kit    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/18765/Flowers-and-Leaves-Chocolatier-Mould
If they have interests in craft...
  1. A selection of washi tape. Washi tape is colourful tape to use in craft. You can get really pretty sets from Paperchase and other craft shops. These sets of tape are really useful in craft or simply if you want to make that extra effort on someone's birthday present. You can get all sorts of designs on the tape but here is a link to a set of plain coloured tape from Paperchase: http://www.paperchase.co.uk/cards/wrap/washi-tapes/set-of-8-tapes-bold-spectra.html
  2. A craft kit. This idea may sound babyish but you can get really nice craft kits that are suitable for adults too! A brand that I like is 'House of Crafts'. I have used the bath bombe making kit and the candle making kit and I thoroughly enjoyed both kits. They are of high quality and are also fun to do with friends. Here is a link to the candle making kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/House-Crafts-Candlemaking-Craft-Kit/dp/B000GCFO5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466258164&sr=8-1&keywords=candle+making+kit+house+of+crafts
I hope that you have enjoyed this gift guide and that it has given you more ideas for birthday presents!
Bye!
